Founding the Company
In 1850, the Grand Rapids area was a growing settlement; home to about 5,000 people. The town was little more than a Native American trading post. A young watchmaker from the Detroit area named William Preusser saw the area was rich with opportunities. His vision led to the founding of Preusser Jewelers, offering quality fine jewelry to the growing community. Preusser Jewelers continues to supply the finest fashion jewelry, bridal jewelry, and more.
